CJ-8 Scramblers sold with half hardtops came equipped with a removable metal bulkhead divider that formed the front of the bed. These stock bulkheads were very prone to rusting on the thin lower mounting flange. In addition, because they were fairly thin pieces of stamped sheet metal, they were prone to denting when cargo in the bed slid forward. This rare Scrambler-specific part is no longer available from Jeep and nearly impossible to locate on the used market in any condition, much less new.

Looking to correct these factory flaws and recreate an integral part of the half cab look, GR8TOPS recreated this part in durable and non-corrosive fiberglass for use with your factory CJ-8 half hardtop. The GR8TOPS bulkhead fits just like the original and only requires that you pre-drill the holes before mounting. This bulkhead can also be used on CJ7s and YJs when using a OEM CJ-8 half hardtop.
GR8TOPS recommends using foam and/or silicone sealant if you wish to semi-permanently mount the bulkhead into place for weather resistance. If you wish to permanently mount the bulkhead into place, we recommend using a urethane-based body seam sealer to seal the bulkhead into place before spraying bedliner or repainting your CJ-8.

This item is shipped via FEDEX Ground. Orders may be picked up at our location but will incur the local 7% South Carolina Sales tax. ONSITE INSTALLATION:
GR8TOPS® can perform full installations and conversions in our shop in Lexington, SC. We also have our own spray on bedliner system to completely seal and protect the rear (or the full interior) of your Jeep after we install your GR8TOPS bulkhead.
