You could own a completely converted GR8TOPS LJ for a very reasonable price. This is a 05 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon edition. This is the longer wheelbase TJ that was only made from 2004-2006. Current mileage on the jeep is 78000 and located in Decatur, Indiana.
First Off, the Jeep itself has these factory specs and options as delivered:
- Cruise Control
- Air Conditioning
- Tilt Steering Column
- AM/FM CD player with upgraded stereo system- factory subwoofer in console
- 6 speed - manual transmission
- 4 wheel disc brakes
GR8TOPS is the original company that came up with the idea for these conversions on TJ's and LJ's way back in 2002. We started doing this even before LJ/unlimiteds were even being produced. The GR8TOPS half hardtop conversion on the TJ's and LJ's really makes a great utility vehicle out of a Jeep. The rear seat, carpet, seatbelts are removed from the Jeep. The rear section of the rollcage is cut at the main hoop. After that the lower bulkhead closeout panel is installed to close out the lower portion of the bed. It is then sealed with urathane around the bottom lip to create a good seal before spraying with bedliner. The GR8TOPS half hardtop is fiberglass and installs easily over the front section of the factory rollcage. The hardtop can still be removed if you want to go topless. Additionally, the full length factory softop or the full length factory hardtop can be resinstalled if you wanted to go back to those.
Additional Information: This jeep was purchased from an insurance auction. The Jeep was hit on the rear drivers side panel right above the wheel wheel. The air bags did not deploy and there was no frame or drivetrain damage. The drivers side and rear corner panel were replaced with OEM replacement panels. The whole side panel probably could have been repaired but it would have had a lot of bondo in it so we opted to do it right and replaced the whole passenger side sheet metal. It runs drives, straight, no other issues, mileage etc is accurate and correct. It currently has a clean Indiana "Rebuilt-Salvage" title but CARFAX may or may not show previous salvage history. We really don't think some of these jeeps that insurance companies really should not be "totalled". In many cases, these jeeps can be repaired very inexpensively especially if you already have some or most of the parts. Regardless, we want to ensure that everything is revaled about the vehicle before you purchase it.
The jeep is currently located in Decatur, Indiana.
