GR8TOPS now offers a fiberglass bulkhead for the YJ and CJ-7, similar to the original CJ-8 half hardtop bulkhead. The fiberglass bulkhead can't rust and creates the unique mini-truck look while also providing a functional bed area in your YJ. While the bulkead can be sealed against the elements separately, many customers choose to spray the bed and bulkhead with a bedliner, such as our Armadillo Liner, to completely weatherproof and protect the bed after installation.
The particular bulkhead was designed from the ground up and differs greatly from the CJ-8 OEM bulkhead. It was specifically designed to reach back and wrap up around the rear wheelwells allowing more in cab room down along the floor and behind the seats. This bulkhead allows you to just seat the front cabin area if you are running a half softop or just a plain bikini top.
The pictures shown have the pictures are with the standard black texture. The bulkheads can be shipped in a bare sanded primer finsh which is recommended if you are painting it to body color match your Jeep or if you are planning on having the bed and bulkhead sprayed with bedliner. Otherwise the texture would need to be either sanded off to paint or scuffed for bedliner preparation.
Unfortunately, the speaker pod option is not available on this specific model of bulkhead because of the shape of the wheelwells. This option may be added in the future based upon demand.

This item is shipped via UPS Ground. Orders may be picked up at our location but will incur the local 7% South Carolina Sales tax. Orders shipped to a South Carolina address will also incur a 7% sales tax. Approximate shipping ranges from $15-$40 depending on your location
AVAILABILITY:
Standard orders of black and sanded primer bulkheads normally ship within 2-4 business days. Custom color bulkhead orders may require a two week lead time.
ONSITE INSTALLATION:
GR8TOPS can perform full installations and conversions in our shop in Lexington, SC. We also have our own spray on bedliner system to completely seal and protect the rear (or the full interior) of your Jeep after we install your GR8TOPS bulkhead. Please see our Installation page for more details and approximate pricing. Installations are by appointment only and normally can be completed in 1-2 business days depending on the options requested.
