Our customers keep finding more great unique ways to use the GR8TOPS half hardtops and they aren’t always just for play.

GR8TOPS recently had a converted Jeep TJ on display at the 2009 National Farm implement show in Louisville, KY. JM Innovations allowed us to display a GR8TOPS converted Jeep to show how it could be used to pull a JM MINI FLOATER SPRAYER. JM Innovations wrote the book on and pioneered the development of lightweight, high-floatation, quality spraying equipment—the first ones who designed quality field sprayers that could be pulled behind smaller ATV and lightweight vehicles.

In this application, the sealed cabin environment created by the GR8TOPS half hardtop ensures the person pulling the sprayer is not affected by the spray or fumes, while being protected from the weather—not necessarily the case if you were pulling the sprayer with an ATV. The high mobility and 4x4 capability of the Jeep TJ makes it ideal for this use and the GR8TOPS hardtop was a perfect fit for this application.

JM Innovations frame-mounted a small B&M turnover hitch under the bed of the jeep to pull the small field sprayer in a fifth wheel arrangement. Darin Ahlmeyer and Scott Schmidt of Ahlmeyer farms were gracious enough to lend their Jeep for display that the farm implement show for a couple of days before spraying season geared up.
