In our earlier news release a few weeks ago, we had a few pictures and information of the new GR8TOPS CJ/YJ half hardtop fitting to a Aqualu short version of their tub.    Aqualu also makes some matching rear jeep beds that can be packaged with their short cab to create your own custom Jeep truck conversion kit with a body made completely out of aluminum.

Aqualu recently provided some additional mock up photos of the cab, truck bed and the GR8TOPS hardtop to give an idea of a conversion package.    GR8TOPS and Aqualu have also partnered with Throttle Down Kustoms for a custom aftermarket frame so you can create a complete custom Jeep truck.    This combination of a GR8TOPS half hardtop, the Aqualu short cab and a separated truck bed, and a custom frame from TDK can allow you to build an incredible custom jeep truck with a real beefy frame, a body that will last forever and a cool styled GR8TOPS hardtop.    This is a perfect builders kit for someone that has a wrecked or salvaged YJ or TJ that would like to build a complete jeep truck.   (specific vehicle titling and VIN information, kit car vehicle information for your specific state would need to be researched)

TDK can create a custom frame for you that incorporates all the properly spaced body mounts and wheelbase for any combination of the Aqualu short cab and matching truck beds.     See the diagrams below for all the different combinations of wheelbase and overall bed lengths.    TDK makes custom hybrid frames that would allow you to run any aftermarket TJ lift suspension system and axles or you can create a frame that uses standard YJ lift springs and axles or any combination of both.   If you were considering BRUTalizing your TJ by cutting it in half for a similiar "conversion kit", think again about how much strength in the frame and body is lost by cutting it in half and sectioning 2 or 3 times.   A complete package with these components can be purchased for comparable costs but resulting in a much stronger and sound conversion.
